We got to see our little bug! We had our first ultrasound and checkup on Friday. No one was really sure how far along I was since I didn't ovulate when I was supposed to but according to my last menstrual period they were guessing I was around eight weeks. Turns out I am six weeks along but doing well. Mom and baby are healthy. We got to see our baby's heart beating! It was really neat and made this all SO real... and no that wasn't a typo I said see our baby's heartbeat not hear. If you've not had children you may not know but you can see a flashing or flickering circle (their heart) on the ultrasound with each heartbeat it's pretty sweet to watch.

Friday was a really great day. I got an interview for a Tech position in the ER and I totally nailed it! I think it really helped that I knew everyone in the room already slightly less intimidating that way. Whether or not I get the job I think it'll be good cause it may be a bit of a struggle to be on my feet all day when I'm pregnant but really everything  is more difficult now so I might as well really enjoy what I do :). Time will tell.

I have been SUPER sick these last two weeks. Anytime I sleep (even naps) when I wake up I immediately have to vomit for like ten minutes ugh not fun.... I've put together that the longer I go in between eating/drinking the worse I feel so when I go for hours like when I sleep and my stomach is completely empty that's when I'm really sick. I wish someone besides my doctor and husband  knew I was pregnant I could really go for some sympathy right about now. Oh well my poor husband will just have to listen to me complain everyday :/

They had us schedule another ultrasound for two weeks from now so that it will actually be an eight week check up. Unfortunately John won't be able to make it. It's super hard to make appointments when he has class all day most days and I usually sleep during the 9-5 office hours. Oh well at least he made it to the first one.
